the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Doctor “Honoris Causa” by the Brazilian
Academy of Philosophy. Director of the Institute of International Studies (IDEI)
of Catholic University. Former President of the OAS Inter-American Juridical
Committee. Head Professor of Public International Law of Pontifical Catholic
University of Peru. Professor of the Diplomatic Academy of Peru. Additionally,
Professor of Integration Law and Foreign Investment in Master of International
Affairs at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. International Arbitrator.

Georg Nolte, born 3 October 1959, in Bonn.

Professor of International Law at Humboldt University Berlin. Member of
the International Law Commission (since 2007, Chairperson in 2017, Special
Rapporteur on the topic “Subsequent Agreements and Subsequent Practice in
Relation to the Interpretation of Treaties”, since 2013). Co-Chair of the Berlin
Potsdam Research Group “The International Rule of Law – Rise or Decline ?”
(supported by the German Science Foundation since 2015).

Associate Member of the Institut de Droit International (elected 2015). President
of the German Society of International Law (2013-2017). Visiting fellow/professor
at Leipzig University (1990-1991), New York University (1992), All Souls College,
Oxford (2003-2004), Université de Paris 2 – Panthéon-Assas (2004), Institute for
Advanced Studies, Berlin (2007-2008), South Ural State University, Chelyabinsk
(2010), and Princeton University (2013); Member of the European Commission for
Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) (2000-2007).
