Aksu, Kenan
Kenan Aksu was born in Kastamonu in 1978. He is a historian and a political analyst focusing on EU–Turkey relations and energy security issues. He regularly organizes conferences and gives talks. He has written numerous articles and published a book related to WWI. He holds a history degree from the University of Mimar Sinan, Istanbul, and an MA from the University of London, SOAS. He is currently undertaking a PhD in International Relations at the Politics Department of the University of London, Goldsmiths College. At the same time, he is a teacher of history and international relations. Aksu believes that Turkey must carry on its journey of Westernisation while keeping the valuable characteristics of its well established civilization which is thousands of years old. He thinks Turkey and Europe are inseparable from each other.
