Linda Ardito, PhD, is Professor of Music at Dowling College. Her extensive writings on subjects in the arts and humanities include book chapters in Creativity: Fostering, Measuring and Contexts and Symbolic Landscapes; entries in The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians; The Grove Dictionary of American Music; and the Encyclopedia of Education and Human Development; and journal articles in Skepsis; International Journal of Musicology; Ionia Publications; Forum Italicum; and Perspectives of New Music.
John Murungi, PhD, is a Professor of Philosophy at Towson University. He is the author of African Musical Aesthetics and An Introduction to Africa Legal Philosophy, and has also co-edited several books, including Symbolic Landscapes and Ecoscapes. He is the Co-founder of the International Association for the Study of Environment, Space, and Place, and is the Founder of Geo-aesthetics Conference Series.
