Mr. Bill Atkinson (deceased) Bill Atkinson was thewriter's pseudonym used by Alan Smith, the original author of thebook. He worked in the electrical installation industry and at theNICEIC.
Mr. Roger Lovegrove, Consultant, Surrey, UK RogerLovegrove is an electrical consultant. He is a member of theElectrical Contractors' Association techinical committees and ofthe joint IEE/BSI Wiring Regulations committee. With his vastknowledge in this area of electrical engineering, he has updatedBill Atkinson's original text for this fourth edtition.
Mr. Gary Gundry, Senior Engineer, ElectricalSafety Council, UK Mr Gundry worked for Seeboard andEastern Electricity, before becoming a lecturer at LowestoftCollege, teaching electrical contracting and electrical engineeringup to HNC level. He joined NICEIC in 1999 after spending threeyears as a Director and Qualified Supervisor of a business enrolledas an Approved Contractor, where he worked in the Standardsdivision on the NICEIC Technical Manual. He is now Senior Engineerat Electrical Safety Council.
Mr. Martyn Allen, Senior Engineer, ElectricalSafety Council Martyn Allen's experience in the electricalinstallation industry spans 30 years. He served an apprenticeshipand worked as an electrician with British Coal, spent 16 years inengineering insurance risk management and then joined theElectrical Safety Council. He is a Chartered Electrical Engineerand Corporate Member of the IET. He is a member of the JointTechnical Committee JPEL/64 Panel C - Shock Protection andIsolation and Switching.
