This book contains papers collected from the 18th Asian BioCeramic (ABC) Symposium, held in Bandung, Indonesia on 19-20 September 2018 and reflected the most recent research made in the study of bioceramics and their applications. The papers are focused on synthesis, processing, and analysis of bioceramics properties, use of bioceramics for coating and surface modification of implants, application of bioceramics in the treatment of soft and hard tissue, infectious complications treatment, and tissue engineering in maxillofacial and orthopedic applications. The strong contribution related to the application of bioceramics and composite materials in dentistry and orthopedics, which is presented in this book, confirms the importance of these materials for clinical practice.
