Halina Chodkiewicz is Professor of Applied Linguistics in the Department of English, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, Lublin, Poland. She teaches psycholinguistics, second language acquisition and ELT courses, and supervises MA and PhD dissertations. Her research interests focus on second/foreign language reading development, vocabulary learning and teaching, and content-based instruction.

Magdalena Trepczynska is Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics in the Department of English at Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, Lublin, Poland. Her research interests include the development of academic literacy in EFL contexts, learner and teacher autonomy and the role of reflection in teacher training and development.
