Lucio G. Costa, Ph.D., is professor of environmental healthand toxicology at the University of Washington School of PublicHealth and Community Medicine. He is also director of theNIEHS-sponsored Neurotoxicology Research Core at the Center inEcogenetics and Environmental Health. His research is focused onthe study of the cellular, biochemical and molecular mechanismsinvolved in neurotoxicity using biochemical, molecular and imagingtechniques.
David L. Eaton is Professor of Environmental Health andAssociate Dean for Research in the School of Public Health andCommunity Medicine at the University of Washington. He serves asDirector of the Center for Ecogenetics and Environmental Health,and is also Deputy Director for a major NIEHS-sponsored researchinitiative in the area of toxicogenomics. Dr. Eaton's researchinterests focus on understanding how subtle genetic differencesbetween individuals and species can result in potentially largedifferences in susceptibility to chemical carcinogens.
