Paixao, Thiago R.L.C.
Thiago R.L.C. Paixão received a BSc (2001), MSc (2004), and PhD (2007), followed by a postdoctoral fellowship between 2008 and 2009 working with electronic tongue devices at the Institute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo. He was then appointed as an Assistant Professor at the University Federal of ABC where he stayed for two years. In 2011, he was hired as an assistant professor at the University of São Paulo and promoted to Associate Professor in 2016. In the beginning of 2018, he was nominated as affiliate member of the Brazilian Academy of Science as a young promising researcher. His fields of interest include chemical sensors, paper-based devices, and electronic tongues aiming at forensic and clinical applications.

de Araujo, William R.
William R. Araujo received both bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and in Science & Technology from Federal University of ABC (UFABC), Brazil. In 2016, he obtained his PhD at the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, with a period in the group of Prof. Joseph Wang (University of California-UCSD), USA, working with electrochemical sensors for forensic applications and the development of wearable electrochemical devices. Dr Araujo was awarded with the best doctoral thesis prize (USP 2016). He carried out two years of postdoctoral research on portable paper-based devices and electrochemical sensors to tackle a wide range of applications. In 2018, he was appointed as Assistant Professor at Institute of Chemistry of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. He coordinates the research group on Portable Chemical Sensors in this institution, and their fields of interest include chemical sensors and biosensors, electrochemistry and electroanalysis, wearable sensors, paper-based devices, and forensics.
