Qc, Nick de Marco
Nick De Marco QC of Blackstone Chambers is ranked as one of the leading Sports law barristers and the foremost practitioner in football disputes. He acts for football clubs, federations, players, and agents in commercial and regulatory disputes before FIFA, CAS and various domestic forums. He has appeared in most recent high-profile cases in football in the UK and has a significant international sports practice. In cricket, boxing and sailing he acts for the regulator, and, in other sports, sits as an arbitrator. He writes and lectures on sports law.

Gordon-Thomson, Genevieve
Genevieve Gordon-Thomson is Director of DMU's CRISTAL (Centre for Research and Innovation of Sport, Technology and Law) and manages its Sports Law provision. Most recently Genevieve has written and launched the world's first Master's degree programme dedicated to the business of motorsport. She also teaches International Sports Law and Global Sports Marketing at American universities including Syracuse University and Ithaca College and previously at British institutions including Birkbeck, University of London where she acted as a sessional lecturer in International Sports Law, Tort Law and Contract Law for 9 years. Her research work focuses on legal issues surrounding equine sports, learning disabilities in sport and the legalities of sport sponsorships. She holds an LLM in International Sports Law, is an editorial panel member for Law in Sport, BASL Board member, trustee at UK Sports Association for Athletes with Learning Disability and Legal Advisor to Stoolball England.

Nick De Marco QC is ranked as one of the leading barristers in Sports Law. He regularly acts for sports governing bodies, players, clubs, sponsors, broadcasters and agents. He is the 'go to' barrister in disputes in football in particular, whether commercial or regulatory. In addition to his busy sports practise, he is experienced in Commercial, Employment and Media law. Nick has written widely on the subject with several texts for Bloomsbury Professional.
