Studies on Russian Economic Development (Problemy prognozirovaniya) is a scholarly journal published by a distinguished group of scientists at the Institute of Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The journal provides the most up-to-date information on socioeconomic problems in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States countries. Periodic issues are dedicated to one particular theme (e.g., conversion, prospects of a market economy, etc.).
Prior to perestroika, the voluminous reports on economic development of the Soviet Union produced by the Institute of Economic Forecasting had been restricted. Now this vital information is available to the world community.
