Solomon Workneh Fanta is a professor of biosystems engineering at Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. He received his Ph.D. from KULeuven, Belgium, in 2013, an MSc in Process Engineering and Design from the India Institute of Technology in 2007, and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Bahir Dar University in 2004. Dr. Fanta's primary duties as a professor are teaching and advising graduate students and participating in research and community-based projects. He has supervised 12 Ph.D. students, of whom seven have graduated, and more than 40 MSc students. His research areas include modeling and postharvest handling of perishables, value addition of agriculture crops, and design, processing, and optimization of products. He has published over 80 papers in high-impact, reputable journals and conference proceedings and worked on seven international projects as a team leader. In addition to teaching and research activities, he has served in different administrative roles at Bahir Dar University, including faculty dean, Ph.D. coordinator (vice dean), and department head. 

Mesfin Wogayehu Tenagashaw received his Ph.D. in Food Science and Nutrition, an MSc in Food Engineering, and a BSc in Chemistry. He has also completed numerous short national and international training courses in food processing, nutrition, research, and leadership. Dr. Tenagashaw is an associate professor at Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia, where he has taught food science, food technology, and nutrition courses for over 15 years. He is also actively involved in student advising, research, projects, and extra-curricular and community service activities. Moreover, he has served as Programme Manager at the Faculty of Chemical and Food Engineering and Head of the Food Engineering and Applied Human Nutrition Chairs at the same University for many years. Dr. Tenagashaw is alsoengaged in national food and nutrition sector matters, working closely with various governmental and non-governmental organizations operating in Ethiopia. He is highly interested in working in infant and child nutrition, micronutrients, fortification of food products, utilization of indigenous crops, food preservation and shelf life studies, food safety, food and nutrition security, community nutrition, and nutrition education and advocacy. 

Muluken Temesgen earned his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 2009 and an MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering in 2011 at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. He then became a lecturer with the Bahir Dar Institute of Technology's Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, where he has worked as a lecturer and researcher in various positions until now. Dr. Temesgen received his Ph.D. in Sustainable Energy Engineering in 2022.

Ephrem Yetbarek Gedilu received his Ph.D. in Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India, in 2021. He earned his MTech in Hydraulic Engineering in 2012 and BSc in Water Resources Engineering in 2009 from Bahir Dar Institute of Technology (BiT), Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. He is an assistant professor of hydraulic and water resources engineering with the Faculty of Civil and Water Resources Engineering, BiT, Bahir Dar University. His research interests are subsurface flow and transport modeling, surface water and groundwater interactions, precision agriculture, and soil and water conservation. He has published research papers in different reputable peer-reviewed journals, participated in national and international conferences, and has served as an invited reviewer for various journals and conferences. In addition to teaching and advising graduate students, he participates in different affairs of the institute and community service activities.
