Sisters of Fate

The Myths that Speak Themselves

Buch, Englisch, 120 Seiten

“Tracking the feminine principle in divination over three thousand years, this book ranges from the Oracle at Delphi to Japanese film of the 20th century. At the center of the study is an exploration of the psychic vantage point shared by various sisters of fate and the source from which their visions and prophecies are brought to the world of mortals.

“The narrative weaves a timeline of time itself, summarizing cultural and scientific changes in the Western concept of time as a stage on which free will, memory, and action play out in foreseen and unforeseeable ways.”
– Roger Dendinger, PhD, author of the Modern World Nations books, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras and Scotland

Before returning to university to finish his degrees, he worked as a newspaper reporter in Houston, Texas. He later became arts and entertainment editor for that newspaper, The Houston Post, and regularly reviewed theatre and film.

He has written several books, including a 2001 monograph, Donald Barthelme, Postmodernist American Writer, as well as two online titles, a fictional account of the 1993 Waco tragedy, Theseus at Waco, and a 2003 textbook for his own course in logic, Sticks and Stones and Spoken Words.

He is married to the former Susan Ann Byre, and between them they have six children and six grandchildren. Susan and Michael live on a six-acre spread in the Black Hills of South Dakota with their black cat, Nyx.
