Gwenaël Le Bodic is a messaging architect for theVodafone Group, located in Germany. In the scope of his activitiesfor Vodafone, he is involved in the design of messaging solutionsfor large multi-operator environments. He also contributes to thedevelopment of system interworking to enable the exchange ofmultimedia messages between operators.
Previous Gwenaël Le Bodic was a messaging and standardizationexpert for Alcatel's mobile phone division, located inFrance. His activities of Alcatel included participating andcontributing to the development of messaging services andtechnologies in the scope of the 3GPP and OMA standardizationforums. He has been responsible for the design of the softwarearchitecture of the embedded multimedia messaging solution forAlcatel's first two MMS phones.
A certified engineer in computer sciences, Gwenaël Le Bodicobtained a PhD in mobile communications from the University ofStrathclyde, Glasgow. He is the author of many researchpublications in the field of Mobile Messaging, Technologies andServices (John Wiley & Sons, Ltd, November 2002) and also abook focusing on MMS, Multimedia Messaging Service, anengineering approach to MMS (John Wiley & Sons, Ltd,October 2003.
