Barry M. Lester, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychiatry &Human Behavior and Professor of Pediatrics at the Warren AlpertMedical School of Brown University. Dr. Lester founded and servesas Director of the Center for the Study of Children at Risk atBrown Alpert Medical School and Women and Infants Hospital of RhodeIsland. Dr. Lester has been a member of NIH studysections and of the National Advisory Council on Drug Abuse atNIDA. He is past president of the International Associationfor Infant Mental Health and the author of more than 200 scientificpublications and 16 books.
Child psychiatrist Joshua D. Sparrow, M.D., is Directorof Special Initiatives at the Brazelton Touchpoints Center andAssistant Professor in Psychiatry at the Harvard Medical School. Heis co-author with T. B. Brazelton of nine books and a weekly NewYork Times syndicate column.
