Zhao, Shuaifei
Dr Shuaifei Zhao is a membrane scientist with more than 10-year R & D experience in various membrane materials and processes. He received his PhD from the University of South Australia in 2012. He has worked in several world-leading membrane research teams at Nanyang Technical University, Zhejiang University, Nanjing Tech University, CSIRO, Kobe University and Deakin University. His research interest covers osmotically-driven, pressure-driven, and thermal-driven membranes and processes for environmental and energy applications, such as water treatment, carbon capture and energy generation/recovery. He has published over 72 international journal papers in the fields of chemical engineering, environmental engineering, materials science, and engineering.
Li, Xin
Xin Li received his Ph.D. degree from Nanjing University of Science & Technology (China) under the supervision of Prof. Jiansheng Li (2016). He has been a visiting student at the research group of Prof. Bart Van der Bruggen in KU Leuven (Belgium) since 2015 and obtained Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. Bart Van der Bruggen in the Department of Chemical Engineering in 2017. He is currently a research fellow in Prof. Rong Wang's research group at the Singapore Membrane Technology Centre (SMTC), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He has authored 25 publications in international journals and 1 book chapter. His research interests include nanomaterials, nano-enhanced membranes, and novel membrane processes for separation.
Lin, Jiuyang
Jiuyang Lin is currently an associate professor at Fuzhou University (China). He obtained his Bachelor and Master degrees from Wuhan University (China) in 2008 and 2011, respectively. Afterwards, he joined the group of Prof. Bart Van der Bruggen at KU Leuven (Belgium) and obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2015. He has authored more than 50 publications in international journals (h-index of 22) and 1 book chapter. His current research interests include membrane fabrication, membrane surface chemistry and integrated membrane process intensification for sustainable resource recovery from wastewaters. He was awarded the “Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research” 2019 Class of Influential Researchers by American Chemical Society.
Xin Li has been a research fellow at the Singapore Membrane Technology Centre, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) since 2018. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering from Nanjing University of Science & Technology (China) in 2017. Then he received another Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from KU Leuven (Belgium) in the same year. He is an expert in membrane technology, especially in nano-enhanced membranes, novel membrane processes, and membrane modules design. He is experienced at developing intellectual properties including over 35 peer-reviewed papers in high impact journals, international conferences and book chapter. He is also the co-editor of special issues on membrane processes for journal.
