This edition comprises papers that were presented at the 13th International Civil Engineering Conference (ICEC) held on 10-11 November 2023, in Karachi, Pakistan. The International Civil Engineering Conference is a regular event jointly organized by the Institution of Engineers Pakistan and NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. To date, the conference has been organized for almost two decades. Every year, the ICEC calls regular meetings dedicated to innovative themes and contemporary issues related to civil engineering and the socio-economic aspects of modern society. The 13th International Civil Engineering Conference was organised under the theme of "Creating Global Partnerships for Sustainable Development through Civil Engineering", which is aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
