Professor Chibli Mallat is a recognized scholar and practitioner of Middle Eastern Law. He has worked closely with Iraqi leaders, including the current president of Iraq, as well as the Foreign Minister and Oil Minister. He is also the Senior Legal Advisor of the Global Justice Project: Iraq, a legal think tank supported by the US Department of State to assist the Government of Iraq on constitutional, judicial, and legislative reform
