Yasser E. Ibrahim Mansour is a professor of Structural Engineering and the chairman of the department of Engineering Management at Prince Sultan University since 2015. Prof. Yasser has several conference and journal publications in the area of structural engineering as well as the engineering education. His research area includes seismic resistant structures and structural response under different dynamic loads. Prof. Yasser got his PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech. in 2005. He joined Prince Sultan University in 2013. Before he joined Prince Sultan University, he was the chairman of Construction Engineering Department at Dammam University, currently Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. He was one of the founders of the College of Engineering there. Prof. Yasser served as a member of the review panel of several undergraduate and graduate engineering programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (NCAAA).
Umashankar Subramaniam (Senior Member, IEEE) has more than 16 years of teaching, research, and industrial research and development experience. He worked as an Associate Professor and the Head of VIT, Vellore, and a Senior Research and Development Engineer and a Senior Application Engineer in the field of power electronics, renewable energy, and electrical drives. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Renewable Energy Laboratory, College of Engineering, Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia. Under his guidance 24 P.G. students and more than 25 U.G. students completed the senior design project work. He has six Ph.D. scholars also completed Ph.D. thesis as a Research Associate. He is also involved in collaborative research projects with various international and national level organizations and research institutions. He has published more than 250 research articles in national and international journals and conferences. He has also authored/coauthored/contributed 12 books/chapters and 12 technical articles on power electronics applications in renewable energy and allied areas. He is a Senior Member of PES, IAS, PSES, YP, and ISTE. He was an Executive Member, from 2014 to 2016. He received the Danfoss Innovator Award-Mentor, from 2014 to 2015 and from 2017 to 2018, and the Research Award from VIT University, from 2013 to 2018. He also received the INAE Summer Research Fellowship, in 2014. He was the Vice Chair of IEEE MAS Young Professional by the IEEE Madras Section, from 2017 to 2019. He has taken charge as the Vice Chair of the IEEE Madras Section and the Chair of the IEEE Student Activities, from 2018 to 2020. He is an Editor of Heliyon (Elsevier) and various other reputed journals. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Access.
Ir Dr Zahiraniza Bt Mustaffa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) in Malaysia. She has a PhD in Pipeline Engineering from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands, a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta in Canada, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Her research interests include pipeline engineering, reliability and integrity, probabilistic design, and risk assessment.
Prof. Abdelhakim Abdelhadi is a Full Professor in the College of Engineering at Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He received his PhD in Engineering Management from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the United States of America. He is the director of the engineering management master program at prince sultan university. His research interests include production and manufacturing engineering, quality management, and engineering economy.
Mohamed Ezzat is an Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Prince Sultan University (PSU), KSA. His area of specialty is geotechnical Engineering, with an emphasis on resilient infrastructure applications. He obtained his MSc in 2013 and a Ph.D. in 2018, both at Ain Shams University, Egypt. He has several publications in different prestigious journals. After joining PSU in 2019, he participated in founding the Structures and materials (S&M) research lab. Between 2020 and 2022, he was awarded five different research grants for his studies in the area of resilient and sustainable infrastructures. He was also awarded the PSU research excellence 2nd prize in 2021. M.E. Al-Atroush is the secretary of the American Society of Civil Engineers for the Saudi Arabia Section and a member of the soil improvement technical committee at ASCE Geotechnical Institute (GI). He is also a member of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) and the Fabricated Geomembranes Institute (FGI). As well as he is the founder and faculty advisor of the ASCE Student Chapter at Prince Sultan University. In addition to his academic work, he is a licensed professional engineer and has been the principal of a geotechnical engineering consulting firm. He provided geotechnical expertise for more than 250 projects throughout the Middle East, involving site investigations, problematic soils, evaluation of the stability of slopes and escarpments, construction and permanent dewatering, design of deep excavation support, traditional and specialized lab testing, field monitoring, geophysical studies, foundation and bridge design, the effect of tunnel induced ground deformations on the adjacent surface and underground structures.
Dr. Eman S. Abowardah is the Chairperson of the Architecture Department and an Associate Professor in the College of Architecture and Design at Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Her research interests include architectural education improvement, architectural design studio’s teaching strategies, and Islamic heritage.
