This book describes the biologically determined rules that underlie human and animal behavior in two major areas of behavior: the processing of sequential information and the processing of spatial information including navigation through space. The issue of how rules that guide behavior are acquired and used is looked at from different perspectives. Complex behavior is investigated in species whose brains differ dramatically in size. By presenting aspects from different fields that rarely come together, Learning opens a new view on the brain-behavior relationship.
