One useful feature of this database is the inclusion of physical properties and use data for pure chemicals. G.W.A. MILNE spent thirty-five years as a senior researcher at the National Institutes of Health, where he worked on spectroscopy for organic compounds and molecular modeling for drug design and cancer/AIDS treatments. He is a former editor of the ACS Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Science (Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling). Additionally, he is the editor of several Ashgate Handbooks, including the Ashgate Handbook of Pesticides and Agricultural Chemicals, as well as Gardner's Chemical Synonyms and Trade Names, Eleventh Edition and Drugs: Synonyms and Properties, Second Edition (all published by Wiley).
