Andrew J. Nussbaum is a member of the Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz Corporate Department, becoming a partner in 1999. His practice involves a wide range of merger and acquisition-related matters, including cross-border transactions, spinoffs, divestitures, carve-out IPOs, private equity transactions, and joint ventures. Mr. Nussbaum graduated from Amherst College, summa cum laude (1985), and has a master's degree from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. He attended The University of Chicago Law School, where he received his J.D. with high honors (1991), was a member of Order of the Coif and served as Editor-in-Chief of The University of Chicago Law Review. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Nussbaum served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg, then of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and thereafter to Justice Antonin Scalia, United States Supreme Court.

Charles joined Marcfarlanes firm in 1983 and became a partner in 1990. Charles works principally in M&A and private equity, acting for sponsors and corporates. Much of his work is cross-border in nature.
He is rated in the top tiers of the most highly recommended M&A and private equity lawyers in the UK by the leading directories including Chambers.
Clients look to him particularly for strategic counsel and tactical input on a wide variety of legal matters including M&A negotiations and litigation.

Simon undertakes a broad range of domestic and cross-border M&A and private equity work, acting for sponsors as well as for management teams and portfolio companies.
Simon has also advised on joint ventures, reorganisations and restructurings as well as on a number of public to privates.
