Maurizio Pompella is Professor of Financial Intermediaries Economics at the School of Economics and Management at the University of Siena, Italy. Among his other scholarly pursuits he has been serving as a reviewer for the prestigious Journal of Risk and Insurance, and is the Editor of the forthcoming series Palgrave Studies in Risk and Insurance.


Nicos Scordis is a Professor at the School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science at St. John’s University in New York, USA. He was honoured with the prestigious Les B. Strickler Innovation in Instruction Award from the American Risk and Insurance Association for his educational contributions to the developing speciality of alternative risk transfer.
