Claudia Voelckel is a genetics lecturer at MasseyUniversity, Palmerston North, New Zealand. She is investigatingplant-insect interactions, ecological divergence and the adaptivepotential of species in the New Zealand flora. Comparativetranscriptomics and genome analyses are an important aspect of thiswork.
Georg Jander is an associate professor at the Boyce ThompsonInstitute, an independent plant research institute on the campus ofCornell University in Ithaca, New York. ProfessorJander's research is focused on using genetic and biochemicalapproaches to identify molecular mechanisms of plant resistance toinsect herbivores.
