Butler Richard:
Richard Butler is Emeritus Professor at Strathclyde University. A geographer, he has taught in Canada, the UK, Holland and Italy. He has published over twenty book and a hundred papers on tourism. A past president of the International Academy for the Study of Tourism, he was UNWTO Ulysses Laureate 2016.Richard Butler has researched tourism from a geographical perspective for over forty years in Canada and the UK. He is most well known for his adaptation of the life cycle model to tourist destination, and has also published widely on sustainable tourism, and tourism development and impacts.
