Rakshit, Amitava
Amitava Rakshit is a faculty member of the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry at the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. His research areas include nutrient use efficiency, simulations modelling, organic farming, integrated nutrient management, and bioremediation. His consulting capabilities are composting techniques, soil health management, and input quality control. He is currently the Chief Editor of the International Journal of Agriculture Environment and Biotechnology. He is a member of the Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition of FAO, Rome, and the Commission on Ecosystem Management of International Union for Conservation of Nature.

He has authored/co-authored 59 refereed journal articles and 14 book chapters. He has experience in the field of Agronomy, with emphasis in Management and Soil Conservation, working in no-tillage (NT) systems. Shrestha, Rajendra P.
Rajendra Shrestha is a Professor of land resources management in the Department of Development and Sustainability of the School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. His major research interests are in understanding human dimension of land use change in relation to land degradation and land management, and understanding the interrelations between land use, climate, food security for sustainable development.
He also serves as editorial board of number of journals, steering committee member of IGU commissions, APRD/ANSO, and provides consulting to governments in the area of land degradation and sustainable land management. He has served as the councillor of World Association of Soil and Water Conservation, co-chair of Alliance of Belt and Road Environmental Deans, and the Dean of SERD, AIT.
