Mencher, Melvin
Melvin Mencher is an experienced journalist who became a journalism instructor. He was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard, has written extensively for many publications and taught at the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University for 28 years.

Melvin Mencher is the author of News Writing and Reporting, the text that set the standard for the field, now in its Tenth Edition. He has extensive experience in the newsroom and has written numerous articles, as well as a publication from the Poynter Institute, "The Sayingsof Chairman Mel."
