The UK has generally leaned towards intergovernmental rather than supranational relations despite the significant restrictions on their sovereignty that 47 years of EU membership have entailed. Polly Ruth Polak, Ph.D. (2021), University of Salamanca (Spain), is Assistant Professor of EU Law at that University. She has published many articles on Brexit and acted as Associate Editor of The Routledge Handbook on the International Dimension of Brexit (2020).
