lived all over the world and now has a home in Michigan with her husband, her two dogs and a cat.
”Yellow, Red, Blue and all the colors“ was a favorite of their three sons and all their friends when they were growing up and now her grandchildren read it in English.

Manfred Schlüter,
geboren 1953, lebt in Hillgroven,
einem Dorf an der Nordsee.
Dort schreibt er Gedichte und Geschichten.
Oder er malt Bilder für Bücher.
Und wenn die Flut es gut mit ihm meint,
schwemmt sie Holz und andere Schätze an den Deich.
Daraus baut er Objekte.
1983 wurde ihm der Friedrich-Hebbel-Preis zuerkannt
und 2008 der Friedrich-Bödecker-Preis.
Zudem erhielt er Auszeichnungen der Stiftung Buchkunst
sowie der Deutschen Akademie für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur
in Volkach.
Dass sein kleiner Klassiker „Der, Die, Das und Kunterbunt“
in der edition buntehunde ein neues Zuhause gefunden hat, freut ihn sehr!

Manfred Schlüter, born 1953,
lives in Hillgroven, a seaside village in northern Germany.
There he is writing poems and stories. Or he is painting pictures for books. And when high tide means well, there will be wood and other treasures washed to the dike from this he builds objects. 1983 he was awarded the Friedrich-Hebbel-Prize,
2008 the Friedrich-Bödecker-Prize and in 2017 the culture prize of the county of Dithmarschen. Additionally he was awarded honors by the Stiftung Buchkunst (foundation art in books) and the German academy for children’s and youth literature in Volkach.
