Based on archival research and an architectural survey, his research sheds new light on the medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque transformations of the basilica, and the later restorations of the complex. Tucci, Pier Luigi
Pier Luigi Tucci is Assistant Professor in the History of Art Department at The John Hopkins University. He has previously taught at the Universit. di Pisa, Italy as well as in Exeter and London. He is also a registered architect and a corresponding member of the Pontificia Accademia Romana di Archeologia. His research interests cross the boundaries between classics, archaeology, history of architecture, and art history. He is the author of Laurentius Manlius.
